My Story

My name is Mary Clare, and welcome to my modern calligraphy studio and creative space in Newry, Northern Ireland! I've always had a passion for paper and stationery, and I'm definitely a paper diary enthusiast. In my spare time, I enjoy long walks, indulging in delicious cheeses, and practicing various forms of calligraphy, from nib and ink to brush pens and watercolors.

I completed my first online calligraphy course in December 2020. From the very beginning, I was hooked, and with the extra time during lockdown, I practiced extensively. By 2022, I began doing in-store calligraphy for luxury brands with the Modern Calligraphy Company. Personalizing gifts for people was incredibly rewarding.

Inspired to share my love for calligraphy, I designed a beginners pointed nib calligraphy course. My goal is to continue this artistic journey throughout Ireland and beyond!
